VOLUNTEER at the JUDICIAL SYSTEM MONITORING PROGRAMME

JSMP has greatly benefited from the work of many volunteers and welcomes applications.

Due to the number of applications JSMP receives we request that before applying potential volunteers are able to commit to a minimum three month period and have fluent English and an ability to work in Portuguese or Tetum or Bahasa Indonesian.

JSMP welcomes applications for volunteers in the legal units, the outreach unit and the finance and administrative unit.

Legal research volunteers should have a sound knowledge of international law, human rights and law reform issues. A strong understanding of judicial issues in Timor Leste is also important. Potential volunteers are encouraged to submit a discrete work plan/project.

Outreach unit volunteers should be proficient in information technology with competencies in media communication and campaign strategies. JSMP also needs individuals with skills in community education and empowerment.

All applications will be welcomed though we regret that we may not be able to reply to all applicants. However, all expressions of interest will be placed in a database for future consideration as and when the need for a volunteer arises.

For further information, you can email to: volunteer@jsmp.minihub.org or contact (+670) 332 3883 (Landline)
